A new residential development called Fairington is now open in Nolensville.
The 372-acre community from Nashville-based real estate developer Southern Land Company offers more than 700 homes, with nearly half of the land reserved for green space. It also includes a village center with 15,000 square feet of commercial space. The real estate developer is also behind Franklin’s Westhaven development.
Fairington is located at the corner of McFarlin and Fly roads. The home prices start in the mid-$800,000s according to a press release. Construction is set to begin on a residents’ club with a gym, kitchen and art studio later this month. The development is also planning tennis and pickleball courts, a pool, a dog park and walking trails. The site will host a public elementary school for Williamson County Schools in the future, according to the release.
Traffic infrastructure planned; home sales pushed back to begin April 2025
“Fairington’s grand opening is especially meaningful as our first homeowners move into the community this month,” says Brian Sewell, SLC president and COO. “From the moment we break ground to well after families settle in, we are intentional about every detail and decision in our neighborhoods. We have demonstrated this in our other Williamson County communities, and now we are thrilled to share how we have tailored our approach specifically for Nolensville.”
Fairington was renamed from Storyvale earlier this year. Southern Land Company broke ground on Storyvale in November of 2023 and had originally planned to begin home sales in late 2024.
Williamson County Schools to Open Career Center
Williamson County Schools announced plans to open an innovation center in August 2026.
The center will train high school students in five areas of study: advanced power and machinery; aviation; cybersecurity and AI; fire management; and hospitality and tourism. It is set to be located on the Franklin High School campus, but applications are open to all Williamson County high school students.
The 26,000-square-food facility was funded by the Innovative School Models grant from the Tennessee Department of Education, according to a press release.
"Each program has been designed to give students a competitive advantage for their future," says Kris Schneider, innovation center assistant director. "The innovation center is all about preparing students to be leaders, problem-solvers and innovators in fields that will shape our community's future."
Paris Baguette Set for Franklin
Paris Baguette is planning a location for McEwen Northside. The Korean bakery with more than 250 locations in 26 states is known for its pastries, bread and cakes.
It is the third area location for the cafe, which also has locations in The Gulch and in Murfreesboro. An opening date for the Franklin location has not yet been announced, but it will be near Hawkers, which is set to open in 2026, and clothing retailer Oak Hall, which recently opened in the complex.
“McEwen Northside continues to grow as a vibrant, walkable district for locals and visitors alike, and we’re excited to welcome Paris Baguette to the mix,” says Grant Kinnett, VP of retail at venture partner Boyle. “Its upscale bakery cafe concept will provide another unique dining and shopping experience for the surrounding Williamson County community to enjoy.”
