Southern Land Company Renames Nolensville Development

A master-planned community in Nolensville, developed by Nashville-based Southern Land Company, has a new name and timeline.

Previously announced as Storyvale, a 372-acre community with more than 700 homes and nearly half the land reserved for green space, will now be called Fairington. Homebuilding for both townhomes and single-family houses is expected to begin soon with the first sales anticipated for April. Model homes in the neighborhood are slated to be revealed this summer. 

“Since we announced the original name, and as development of the community has progressed, we recognized there was a better name for what we are creating," Jim Henry, executive vice president for single-family community development. "With the word ‘fair’ meaning ‘pleasing to the eye or mind,’ Fairington beautifully represents our vision for a place where residents can truly come home to a handsomely designed community that prioritizes connections and opportunities to create memories."

As a part of a quickly growing community that will significantly increase the population, a portion of the development's acreage is dedicated for a future elementary school. Located at the southwest corner of McFarlin Road and Fly Road, SLC will do work to widen roads and enhance an intersection to help improve traffic infrastructure. 

The development will include a village center with around 15,000-square-feet of commercial space. Several miles of trails in the community will connect to Nolensville’s greenway system.

The town is in the midst of several development projects including one planned to give Nolensville its first concentrated town center.
