From the artists, chefs and musicians who give this place its character to the elections and policy decisions that shape its future, we’re here to cover it all — with the depth, honesty and warmth our community deserves.

We officially launched on November 4, 2024 at Williamson Inc., joined by community members, local leaders, and supporters who share our passion for in-depth local storytelling. Today, Williamson Scene is fully dedicated to telling the stories that matter most in Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill, Nolensville, and beyond.

Our story

Williamson Scene has a long history of serving Williamson County under different names. In 2009, the Brentwood Home Page quickly became the go-to source for hyperlocal news, and its success led to the launches of Franklin Home Page, Nolensville Home Page and Spring Hill Home Page. The four sites eventually merged into a single home at williamsonhomepage.com, giving readers everything they needed in one place.

In October 2018, Home Page Media Group was acquired by FW Publishing and the Home Pages were combined with The News to serve the integrated audience of Williamson County and southwest Nashville. In 2024, we rebranded as Williamson Scene to align more closely with our sister publications and to better reflect our expanded connection to Williamson County — with stronger coverage of arts, culture, music, food, and the local and state news that shape daily life here.

Our parent company

FW Publishing began its venture in May 2018 with the purchase of entertainment and cultural weekly Nashville Scene; the Nashville Post, which publishes a quarterly business magazine, twice-daily email newsletters, and a continually updated online news site; and Nfocus, a monthly magazine covering Middle Tennessee’s active, fun, and philanthropic society. FW Publishing also operates an events management company.

FW Publishing is part of Freeman Webb Company, the largest owner/manager of apartments in Tennessee and one of the largest in the Southeast, with more than 16,000 apartment units and 1 million square feet of office space across Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia and Mississippi. The Institute of Real Estate Management named Freeman Webb the 2017 National Property Management Company of the Year, alongside many other local and regional accolades.
