Hawkers Asian Street Food

Hawkers Asian Street Food is set to open its second area location in early 2026.

The Asian fusion restaurant will establish a location in Cool Springs as part of the McEwen Northside mixed-use development, according to a press release.

Hawkers has a total of 15 existing locations, according to its website, in Florida, Georgia, Texas, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. It is known for its Asian staple dishes, including bao, dumplings and wontons, as well as Korean twice-fried wings, curry, bibimbap and noodle dishes.

Hawkers established its first Tennessee location in East Nashville in 2020. That building was listed for sale in July, but it is unclear if the location at 626 Main St., which also houses other businesses, is set to close. The Orlando-based brand announced earlier this year it had landed an investment from Utah-based firm Savory Fund for expansion.

The news follows the announcement that Culinary Dropout will occupy the same building. From Fox Restaurant Concepts, the comfort food restaurant is set to open Sept. 10.

“We’re incredibly excited about the momentum surrounding the newest block in the district,” says Mark Traylor, director of retail properties at McEwen Northside developer Boyle. “We’ve already welcomed office tenants to the upper floors, with more on the way; and soon, the ground level will be home to these beloved restaurants, further establishing McEwen Northside as a place where memories are made, especially over a great meal.”

McEwen Northside is also home to a Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Club Pilates, Radish and Shake Shack, as well as office spaces for Mitsubishi and Omnia Partners.
