McConnelles restaurant will be featured on Fieries eDiners, Drive-ins and Divese show on Monday, Dec. 30, at 9 p.m. on Food Network.
55 South plans to celebrate with $5 margaritas.
McConnell cooked three dishes with Fieri the first day of filming: the hot chicken sandwich, char-grilled oysters and jambalaya. On the second and third day, a crew shot more cooking, food closeups and outdoor shots.
It will air again Jan. 7.
McConnell also owns Red Pony, his first restaurant, which opened in 2006, and Cork and Cow, which shares a divided kitchen with 55 South.
