What is your public service experience?

6 years as Alderman; 22 years reserve law enforcement; 8 years volunteer EMT; 2 years volunteer firefighter

What is your private sector experience?

49 years design, engineering, site inspection, contract/project management for private consulting firms and government agencies

How do you plan to work with both Maury and Williamson County legislators as the city grows?

By regular meetings and attending their monthly meetings

What is your relationship with the city’s state legislators?

We know each other and I correspond with them

What is important to you in hiring the next city administrator?

He/she has a solid municipal financial backround and has leadership qualities

What is your take on continued private development within the city?

Aside from the developments that have already been accounted for, new sewer connections need to be curtailed

What do you think the city needs to be doing to improve its infrastructure (power, water, roads, etc.)?

Go ahead with the pilot plant for Project S.W.I.F.T., keep pressure on the State Legislature and TDOT, think about constructing a bypass road for US31 rather than wait the 7 to 10 years for TDOT to begin the widening project (if TDOT doesn't decide to take the project off the list as they have done twice in the last 6 years

Water & sewer

What are your goals as mayor?

Revise the Land Use Plan and Zoning Map; expand the "bridge" supplement between retirement and Medicare to all city workers not just first responders; start design for a new library; have a compliance audit performed on city hall operations
