Thompson’s Station’s first liquor store, Tollgate Wine & Spirits, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening on Wednesday.

The store is located at 1190 Tollgate Blvd, Suite 103, at the entrance to the Tollgate Village subdivision and will provide curbside pickup and delivery services through its website and mobile app within a 15-mile radius.

“Residents of fast-growing Thompson’s Station will finally be able to conveniently shop for their favorite wines and spirits close to home, without having to drive to Franklin or Spring Hill,” Steve Poe, owner of Tollgate Wine & Spirits, said in a news release. 

In 2022, Poe collected enough residents' signatures to get the question of whether or not Thompson's Station should allow the selling of alcoholic beverages in retail package stores on that fall's election ballot.

Voters overwhelmingly agreed with Poe with more than 75 percent of residents voting yes. 

Tollgate Wine & Spirits will offer a selection of wine, spirits, beer, soft drinks and CBD beverages as well as cheeses, crackers, snacks and glassware. Customers will have the opportunity to sample new beverages in the dedicated tasting area inside the 5,519-square-foot store. Cigars can be selected from the humidor.
