Inglehame Farms, the master planned community off Wilson Pike at Split Log Road, is now almost built out. The community presently has about 150 houses on half-acre lots.

Named after the red brick, historic mansion that has been preserved at the top of the hill overlooking the community and the farm that was once there, Inglehame features spacious traditional home designs that attract families of all sizes; some of the largest homes have five bedrooms.

Resident Carol Birdsong – yes, the same Carol Birdsong who can be heard on those robo-calls telling you that Williamson County schools are closed due to snow – says location had a lot to do with her family’s decision to live in Inglehame.

Her husband works in Nashville and is on call every day of the week, so they wanted to live fairly close to I-65. In Inglehame, Birdsong says, “we are, but it doesn’t feel like it.

“I also like it that my children were able to walk to and from school (at Ravenwood High) if they had after school activities and I was still at work.”

Now, she added, the neighborhood is about to get another attraction: the new city park on the Ravenswood Farm property will be within walking distance of many Inglehame houses when it is finished.

A final section of new homes is to be built on Charity Drive by Drees Homes. The types of houses Drees plans there include a “to be built” design being advertised on realtracs.com that has 3,720 square feet, for $518,400.

When this last section is finished, Inglehame will have some 176 homes on its 200 acres.

Amenities in the subdivision include green space, a neighborhood swimming pool, clubhouse, underground utilities and decorative street lamps.

There are also cul de sac streets, and many of the houses in Inglehame back up to preserved green space.

The three resales listed for sale this week on realtracs.com range in size from 4,305 square feet to 5,244 square feet, and they are all priced in the high $600,000s. At various times, houses in Inglehame have sold in the $700,000s and $800,000s.

This small group of resales  currently available includes a short sale.

The neighborhood, with entrances on both Wilson Pike and Split Log Road, is zoned for Kenrose Elementary, Woodland Middle and Ravenwood High.
