Franklin Transit is offering free rides during Williamson County election day on Tuesday. 

Those voting at the FranklinMarriott Cool Springs Conference Center (on Franklin Transit Blue Route) or the Academy Park Gym (on Franklin Transit Red Route) will ride for free that day. 

The primary election ballots have more than 50 candidates this year, including for mayor, county commission and school board.

“Franklin Transit invites voters to take a free ride on Franklin’s public transit fixed route service on Election Day 2025 in Williamson County to cast their vote,” says Debbie Henry, president and CEO of Franklin Transit. “Riders can plan their trips and track the bus using Follow Franklin, our transit app, which is available at www.followfrank.org. We look forward to seeing folks on board.”

The local transit company also recently extended its lunchtime shuttle. 

Spring Hill development enters second phase  

Firefly, a golf course country club community in Spring Hill, has started sales for its second phase of homesites, Nashville Business Journal reported.  

 Around 60 buyers are in line to purchase a site. 

 Storied Development broke ground on the 700 acre project in late 2024, which includes golf courses, lots and built homes. The total investment of land, infrastructure, ground work and amenities is around $350 million, Williamson Scene reported at the time. When completed, it will include around 400 single-family homes, and two golf courses, the latter of which are set to open this fall.   

“As the golf courses near completion and gear up for a fall opening, we are eager to continue this forward progress leading into the second phase of homesite sales,” said Mark Enderle, Storied Development partner, in the release. “Buyers’ confidence is growing as they see tangible progress on the ground, and that’s reflected in the strong conversion our sales team is seeing from their property tours to actual homesite purchases.” 

Georgia-based Storied Development is also the developer behind The Grove, a 1,100-acre golf club community in College Grove.
