The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports two people died in Franklin this past Sunday, when a tree fell across Carothers Parkway. 

THP officials said Georgette Arena, 62, and Stephen Lindstrom, 69, were driving and nearing South Carothers Road at the time of the incident. 

Storms were roiling across the area during the crash. 

More severe weather is expected Tuesday across Middle Tennessee.
