What are the biggest needs or top concerns for your ward?
Infrastructure and public safety. I have worked the last four years to fully fund emergency services to include police, firefighters, and necessary public works to meet the needs of Spring Hill, and if elected, I shall continue to do so.
What is your take on continued private development within the city?
The city needs to partner with the private sector to help ensure that adequate infrastructure accompanies every development. This includes conducting required traffic impact studies so developers pay for necessary road improvements and water/sewer impacts. BOMA must weigh the impacts of all developments to judge whether they will form an overall net positive for the city.
What do you think the city needs to be doing to improve its infrastructure (power, water, roads, etc.)?
Spring Hill’s new Advanced Purification Water System will help to alleviate our dependance on the Duck River. This will allow us to more readily obtain water during droughts and avoid effluent restrictions. We should continue to work with our state and federal partners at the Tennessee Valley Authority, Columbia Power and Water Supply, Tennessee Departments of Transportation, Environment and Conservation to ensure Spring Hill continues to improve its infrastructure.
Which mayoral candidate are you supporting?
I am not endorsing any of the four mayoral candidates but I wish them luck in their campaigns and I am prepared to work with the elected mayor to move Spring Hill forward.
If elected, how would you work alongside a mayoral candidate who you did not support?
I stand ready to work alongside all BOMA members to help Spring Hill become a better place to live, to work, and to play.
