Brentwood Commissioner Stevan Pippin 2025 Swearing In

Brentwood’s newest city commissioner, Stevan (Steve) Pippin, was sworn into office during Monday night’s Board of Commissioners meeting – filling the seat left vacant after the abrupt resignation of Susannah Macmillan.

Pippin was appointed to the BOC during the July 14 meeting after two rounds of voting from the commission in a 5-1 vote. On Monday, he was sworn in and also appointed as the commission’s representative on the Brentwood Tree Board.

“I don’t think it’s any secret to say we’ve come through some challenges lately to get to this juncture, and I just want to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way,” Pippin said, adding that he’s “humbled and honored” to be on the board.

Pippin was one of 21 applicants for the vacancy and will serve until May 2027, when citizens will vote on the seat during the city’s next general election.
