A restaurant by a James Beard-nominated restaurateur has opened in Franklin.
The first Tennessee location of the fast-casual eatery Flower Child is located in the Southside at McEwen shopping center in Franklin.
The restaurant features art in several ways, including Flower Child's signature lemon mural on the exterior as well as art installations on the interior that reflect the food as well as the city of Franklin.
Dishes include an ancient grain bowl with a red pepper miso vinaigrette, chicken enchiladas with guajillo chile and poblano crema, and a turkey avocado wrap.
“Flower Child has become a favorite among our restaurants, and we are so happy to open our first Tennessee location," Sam Fox, founder of the Arizona-based Fox Restaurant Concepts, said in a press release. "We can’t wait to welcome in our new friends and neighbors for a healthy, delicious, and uplifting dining experience.”
There are Flower Child locations in 15 states. This is not the first Fox Restaurant Concepts location in Franklin as the McEwen Northside complex features Sam Fox's North Italia — that concept was acquired in 2019 by The Cheesecake Factory Inc. which also invested in the Flower Child concept in an acquisition deal for all of FRC.
Other Fox restaurants located in the Nashville area are Pushing Daisies, Doughbird, Blanco Cocina and Cantina, and The Henry.
