National law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has added Matt Pietsch as a partner in the firm's Franklin office.

According to a release, Pietsch will focus on commercial litigation. He brings experience in professional liability, real estate, immigration, employment, government and regulatory law.

Previously, Pietsch served as a partner at Nashville-based Taylor Pigue Marchetti & Blair. His resume includes stints as an assistant state attorney in West Palm Beach, Fla., and as assistant district attorney general in Nashville.

Pietsch, who is admitted to practice in Tennessee, is a member of the Tennessee and Nashville bar associations, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. He is fluent in Spanish.

Pietsch is a graduate of Georgetown University, the University of Miami School of Law, the U.S. Department of Justice National Advocacy Center at the University of South Carolina, and the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy at Stanford University.
