Yardstick Dog Hotel is set to open in Franklin this fall.
The hotel, set to be located at 1128 Murfreesboro Pike, will be the first connected to an animal hospital through a partnership with Williamson County Animal Hospital, according to a press release. It is Yardstick’s fifth Nashville area location, and a Brentwood location opened in May. While an opening date has not been released for Franklin, it is planned for late fall, according to the release.
“We are thrilled to bring our differentiated concept to the Franklin community, and to finally have a more convenient location for our existing customers who call Franklin home. It has been a long time in the making,” said Yardstick CEO, Dave Atkins.
“And, to do it alongside Williamson County Animal Hospital, who has been a mainstay for Franklin’s pet parents over the past 50 years, is particularly special. We know this will be a wonderful partnership for many years to come.”
Maniac’s restaurant to close
Maniac’s restaurant has announced that it will close. The Brentwood restaurant’s last day of business is slated for July 31, Williamson Source reported.
The restaurant known for its chicken fingers has been located at 99 Seaboard lane for more than 20 years. Citing a note on the business’s door, Williamson Source reported that the owners have decided to “exit gracefully” to spend more time with friends and family.
"After more than 21 years, we have decided to close. Not for any bad reason. We have been blessed to have an amazing landlord, the best staff we could ask for, and, most importantly, kind and loyal customers.”
