The League of Women Voters of Williamson County will host their next meeting with guest speaker, Linda McFadyen-Ketchum, Tennessee volunteer lead for Moms Demand Action on Gun Sense in America.
Linda McFadyen-Ketchum
Moms Demand Action is a self-described “grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence,” which advocates for strengthening gun laws.
McFadyen-Ketchum previously worked as a political consultant specializing in Davidson County campaigns, and has more recently been a familiar face at the Tennessee State Capitol where she helped lead gun reform protests following the 2023 Covenant School shooting that killed three students and three staff members.
In April 2024, she was nearly forcibly removed from the state capitol's senate chambers by state troopers while peacefully protesting a bill that would allow some school staff to carry concealed firearms. That bill was later passed and signed into law.
