The Nolensville branch of the Williamson County Public Library is getting into the Halloween spirit this week with several events geared toward kids.
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 26 when the library will have its annual Halloween story times and trick-or-treating sessions.
The story time for pre-schoolers is on Wednesday and for toddlers on Thursday, but kids may attend either day. After each story time, the library will have trick-or-treating stations set up for kids.
Costumes are encouraged, and the library asks kids to bring their own buckets or sacks to carry their treats in.
“Our theme this year isn’t very scary . . . it’s rubber duckies,” Branch Manger Jennifer Hunsicker wrote in an email..
The programs last around 45 minutes each.
The library’s festivities continue on into the weekend. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. 0n Saturday, Oct. 28, the Lego Club will meet and work on the theme “Build a Haunted House.”
“We’ll have ghostly and creepy characters for the kids to use in building their creations,” Hunsicker said. This event is for ages 5 and up.
Many other events are planned in the coming weeks and months at the library. For instance, the library will be participating in National Novel Writing Month.

Nov. 8 and 9 – 10:30 a.m. – Pajama Storytimes
Nov. 8-11  – Friends of Nolensville Library Book Sale at the Historic School
Nov. 14 – 4:30 p.m. – Engineering Mystery Bag Challenge, ages 8 and up
Nov. 15 – 10:30 a.m. – Preschool Storytime Cupcake Day
Nov. 18 – 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  – Lego Club: Zoom! Build a Block Vehicle, ages 5 and up
Nov. 21 – 1 to 4 p.m. – Mexican Train Dominoes (adults)
Nov. 29 – 4:30 p.m. – Snowman Ornament Craft Day, ages 10 and up
