Spring Hill City Hall

The Spring Hill Board of Mayor and Alderman passed its fiscal year 2025-2026 budget ordinance on Monday, June 2.

The city's budget maintains the current property tax rate of $0.739. Because of an increase in property values on the Williamson County side of Spring Hill after this year's reassessment, the city's property tax revenue will increase by more than $3.7 million, according to a city press release. The revenue will go towards the general fund.

The city's total revenue for FY26 is expected to total about $61.6 million, an increase from the estimated revenue at the end of FY25 of about $58.8 million but still down from the actual revenue in FY24 of $68.5 million.

In total, the city plans to spend about $61.3 million in appropriations. The largest appropriation is $10 million for fire operations followed by nearly $8.2 million for streets and almost $6.9 million for police field operations. Both police and fire received several other line item appropriations as well.

The budget includes pending funding for capital project appropriations such as the Cleburne and Beechcroft intersection, fire station #4, a new playground at Harvey Park, and Buckner Lane improvements to name a few.

The debt service for the city is planned to decrease significantly in the coming fiscal year from $2.8 million to just about $742,000. That's because in FY25 the city purchased land for a park for around $2 million.
