A now former Williamson County teacher and wrestling coach has been indicted with multiple child sex crimes from a Dickson County Grand Jury.

On Wednesday, 37-year-old Geston Gordon, a Dickson County resident, was arrested following the indictment. He had been suspended from his position as a Fairview High School girl’s wrestling coach in October 2024. Gordon remains jailed in Dickson County on a $199,875 bond.

He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, 15 counts of exploitation of a minor under 13, and three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, after law enforcement officials alleged that he was extorting an unidentified 13-year-old girl in Ohio for nude images.

According to a Williamson County Sheriff’s Office release, the investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and “digital forensics linked the suspect’s activity to Williamson County.”

“Once Ohio investigators confirmed the suspect’s employment, Williamson County school officials were notified,” the sheriff’s office release stated. “The school district acted without delay to suspend Gordon from his position and immediately contacted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.”

A Williamson County Schools spokesperson told the Williamson Scene that “no WCS students were identified as victims throughout the investigation.”

According to WCS, Gordon worked as a special education teacher’s assistant at Ravenwood High School from 2021-2023, where he also coached wrestling and football.

He also taught at Independence High during the 2023-2024 school year, and coached wrestling at Fairview High in 2024 until his suspension without pay on Oct. 30, 2024. Gordon was terminated from the district following his arrest on Wednesday.

As previously reported, Gordon is a six-year Air Force veteran who previously oversaw a Dickson County girls wrestling team that took 5th in the rugged West regional, 12th in the state and had a state champion and nationally ranked wrestler in 2021.

Williamson County’s Internet Crimes Against Children investigator Paul Lusk was also involved in the investigation, and according to WCSO Capt. Becky Coyle, while some of the online activity occurred in Williamson County, the ICAC’s investigation allowed for the charges to be filed in Dickson County where the investigation was centered.

Coyle said that no charges have been filed in Williamson County, but they urge anyone who may have additional information regarding the case to contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

“This arrest is the result of determined investigative work and effective collaboration between our office and the Dickson County District Attorney’s Office,” Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Hughes said. “We remain committed to protecting children from predators — wherever they may be.”

The Dickson County Court where the case is filed would not immediately release any of the case documents, such as an indictment or affidavit, so the additional details about the investigation are unclear at this time.
