A College Grove man admitted to detectives that he “ate some of” his wife after allegedly shooting and killing her on July 1.

As previously reported, Douglas “Kirk” Rawl, 57, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide for the killing of his wife, Allison Ché Ché Rawl, 52.

According to an affidavit filed with the Williamson County General Sessions Court, Rawl called 911 at approximately 2:15 a.m. on July 1 and admitted to shooting her in the head.

"I genuinely thought that she was the devil, and I thought that I was the son of God, or even Jesus,” Douglas allegedly told a dispatcher. “She is dead as fried chicken,” and, "tell the cops they can kiss my ass, I'm going to bury this body, get rid of this shit, I'm living another day I'm not turning myself in, fuck off."

A responding Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant responded to the Wellsford Lane home where Rawl was removing his clothes in the front yard before he “advanced towards” the sergeant, who tased and arrested Rawl. He fell and sustained a head injury.

Rawl’s wife was found dead in a bedroom, laying in the fetal position of the bedroom floor with “an obvious gunshot wound to the head.”

According to a preliminary Medical Examiner’s investigation, she was shot in the head and torso, and deputies and detectives recovered a silver five-shot revolver with five spent shell casings. Five fired bullets were also recovered from the scene.

In an interview with detectives, Rawl said that he was asleep on the couch when he was awoken by his wife before they began arguing.

“Mr. Rawl stated that he remembered being on the floor with his arms wrapped around the top of his wife's head. He stated he was attempting to pull her head off. When this didn't work, he remembered having a gun in his hand and hearing it go off,” the affidavit reads in part. “He stated he believes he shot her in the chest and she was pretending to be dead, which infuriated him, so he shot her again. While he stated he wasn't sure how many more times he shot her or where, he stated he continued to pull the trigger until it made a clicking sound.”

Next, detectives said, Rawl admitted that he “ate some of her” during the murder.

“Still believing what happened wasn't real and that his wife was the devil, he stated he ate some of her and further described that as tasting her blood and pretending to like it.”

Rawl is set to appear in court on July 15 and remains jailed on a $2.5 million bond.
