A workshop about caring for aging parents and family members from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Wilson Pike in Brentwood.
Church of the Good Shepherd is hosting a workshop about caring for aging parents and family members from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the church, 1420 Wilson Pike, in Brentwood.
Nearly 44 million persons across America serve as unpaid caregivers for aging relatives, a situation that can be stressful and carry unintended consequences for both parents and children.
The workshop will cover common concerns about parents and relatives in decline because of health issues, their housing options, financial and legal issues, and retirement issues and options. It will feature a panel discussion and include a question-and-answer session.
Seasoned financial educator Frank C. Weightman, Ph.D., CEP, AIF®, who has experienced the challenges of aging families firsthand, will serve as moderator for the event. For further information, please contact the Church of the Good Shepherd at (615) 661-0890.
