The CoolSprings Galleria on Thursday plays host to a job fair they are billing as the largest in the county, with more than 40 employers.
With near record unemployment, employers are finding it difficult to locate talent in Williamson County.
The county recorded a 4.1 percent unemployment rate for August, the lowest in the state. Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner and Wilson counties also had unemployment lower than 5 percent, compared to a statewide unemployment rate of 5.8 percent for the month.
So, in conjunction with Williamson, Inc., Matt Lowney Productions and CoolSprings Galleria the Work Williamson Career Fair will be held on the first floor of CoolSprings Galleria from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015.
Among the more than 40 employers expected to be there are Vanderbilt, Mapco, Community Health Systems, OHL, Belk, Dillard’s, JC Penney, Macy’s and small shop retailers such as American Girl, Banana Republic, Children’s Place, Chick-fil-A, and other major employers such as Williamson County Schools, and Williamson Medical Center.
