FirstBank has announced the additions of former First Horizon Bank officials Mac Alsup and Joe Walker as senior vice presidents, with both to focus on commercial banking initiatives.
Mac Alsup
According to a release, Alsup and Walker will primarily work from the Franklin office of the Nashville-based company and serve as senior executives. The roles are new to FirstBank, with the additions representing an expansion of the bank's commercial banking efforts.
Alsup has served as a commercial relationship manager for the past 22 years and joins FirstBank from First Horizon with more than 25 years of experience in the Nashville market. He graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and a minor in psychology.
Joe Walker
With 40 years of financial sector experience, Walker joins FirstBank after a 14-year tenure at First Horizon, most recently having served as Williamson County regional president. Before that, Walker spent 24 years at SunTrust/Truist Bank, leading the bank’s commercial team in Franklin.
“Mac knows the value of maintaining strong relationships with the business leaders of our community, and we are thrilled to have him join Franklin’s commercial banking space,” Jim Mosby, FirstBank commercial banking president, said in the release. “And Joe brings a wealth of knowledge from leading multiple commercial teams. I’m confident that through his leadership, our Franklin market will reach new heights.”
FirstBank operates 77 full-service branches in Tennessee, South Central Kentucky, Alabama and North Georgia, along with mortgage offices in the Southeast.
