The Ravenwood Raptors have added Tennessee’s top football prospect for 2020.
Defensive end Reggie Grimes II, a rising senior, has transferred to Ravenwood from Mt. Juliet to complete his high school career, per 24/7 Sports.
Grimes is a five-star prospect who has narrowed down his college options to six schools: Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida State, LSU and South Carolina.
His father, Reggie Grimes, played at Alabama after graduating from Hunter’s Lane in Nashville and played for a season with the New England Patriots.
24/7 expects him to end up at his father’s alma mater and play for the Crimson Tide.
Ravenwood came a game away from a Class 6A state appearance last fall.
Grimes’ new teammate and the state’s 19th-best prospect, Raptors tackle Graham Barton, committed to Duke earlier this spring.
