Football Roundup: Page Finishes Regular Season Unbeaten; FHS, IHS, CHS Secure Playoff Seeds

The regular season came to an end on Friday night, which meant many of the week 11 matchups determined playoff eligibility or seeding.

Let's take a look at the rest of the Williamson County and Davidson County results from week 11. 

Page 42 Nolensville 0

In 10 games this season, Page (10-0, 5-0) has forced eight shutouts and allowed 13 total points. To call the Patriots dominant would be an understatement.

The latest blowout win came against Region 6-5A foe Nolensville (6-4, 4-1), which was the Knights first region loss of the season and gave Page the region title.

The Patriots opened up a 28-0 lead just minutes into the second quarter, all of rushing scores, including two long touchdowns from freshman Isaac Otey. The

A pair of Mitchell Grandjean touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air, helped build out the lead the rest of the way. 

Page will host Columbia (6-4) in the first round of the playoffs next week, while Nolensville will host Tullahoma (6-4). 

Franklin 48 Overton 13

Franklin (5-5, 3-2) is headed to the playoffs after an emphatic win over Overton (3-7, 0-5).

The playoff bid, the program's first since 2020, marks quite the turnaround for the Admirals under first-year head coach Josh Adkins. Previous head coach Alex Melton was dismissed following a 21-game losing streak.

Franklin led 42-0 at halftime and 48-0 early in the third quarter before letting off the gas. The win was the team's highest-scoring output of the season and ended a three-game skid.

Franklin will be on the road at Antioch (6-4) in the first week of the playoffs. 

Independence 30 Summit 12

The final playoff spot in Region 6-6A was on the line in Thompson's Station between Independence (3-7, 2-3) and Summit (3-7, 1-4). The Eagles secured the bid thanks to a dominant second half that saw them out-score the Spartans 23-6.

Summit actually held a 6-0 lead after the first quarter, but a second-quarter touchdown from Independence gave them a 7-6 halftime lead. The Eagles held the lead for the remainder of the game.

Independence will be on the road at Stewarts Creek (9-1) in the first round of the playoffs. 

Centennial 38 Hillsboro 9

Centennial (6-4, 3-2) and Hillsboro (5-5, 2-3) were dueling for Region 6-5A seeding on Friday night, with the Cougars securing third place with the win and the Burros taking fourth. 

Centennial jumped out on Hillsboro early, building a 21-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and taking a 24-7 lead into the halftime break.

Senior Kani Johnson had a big performance for the Cougars, catching three touchdowns. Quarterback Riley Turner also tossed a score to Gavin Johnson, and Mikey Pimentel ran a blocked punt back for a touchdown.

Centennial will be on the road at Lincoln County (7-3), while Hillsboro visit Shelbyville (9-1).
