'Nashville' TV show home sells for $7.35M

Two local real estate investors have paid $7.35 million for the Forest Hills home and land that was a key setting of the television series Nashville — and that has hosted international celebrities and high-profile galas.

Via a Platinum Luxury Auctions auction, an LLC affiliated with Taylor Preston and Joe Porter acquired the six-acre property and the 20,500-square-foot Georgian-style house that anchors the wooded site. The address of the property, located near Belle Meade, is 1358 Page Road.

The seller was a trust that included Lucius E. Burch III (a local investor and entrepreneur) and Lucius E. Burch IV.

The property was listed in 2010 for $22.5 million and has been for sale intermittently since then.

Opened in 1999, the home on the grounds offers six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms and a climate-controlled wine cellar that can accommodate 3,000 bottles. The property also includes a barn with two horse stalls and parking spaces for about 100 vehicles.

Fans of the show Nashville, which ran six seasons (four on ABC and two on CMT) from 2012-2018, will recall the character Rayna James lived in the home. High-profile entertainers such as Adele, Big N Rich, Jackson Browne, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Paul Simon and Steven Tyler (the latter in a Skittles commercial for Super Bowl 50 in 2016) have visited the home.

In addition, the property has accommodated numerous television shows, including the CMT Music Awards, and private galas and events.

Preston, known for his work with storage facilities in urban Nashville locations, declined to disclose what he and Porter have planned for the property.

A trust that included local philanthropist Sylvia Roberts acquired the then-raw land in 1997 and had the site developed with the home via builder Will Andrews. The architect was Mark Harrison.
