New dining concept Truce opened Wednesday in Cool Springs.
Located at 1809 Mallory Lane, the space formerly occupied by Tennessee Credit Union, Truce offers food with organic ingredients whenever possible and free of seed oils and artificial additives, according to a press release. Offerings include smoothies, fresh-squeezed juice, pastries, salads, sandwiches and entrees including short rib and salmon.
Truce is open daily for breakfast, lunch at dinner from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with brunch served until 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The company has hired 100 employees, and plans to add a drive-thru lane and mobile app in the coming months.
The restaurant works with organic farmers and will donate proceeds from its Truce Toast and Truce Latte to nonprofit Love One International, which focuses on medical care for families in Uganda.
“This has been 10 years in the making for our family," said Matt Frauenshuh, founder and creator of Truce. "Our dream was to create a restaurant unlike anything that exists. Truce was built on the belief that people shouldn’t have to choose between what’s convenient and what’s genuinely good for them."
