Williamson Weekly: Franklin Theatre Announces July Programming

The Franklin Theatre has announced its July programming, which includes tribute bands and improv shows in addition to its typical film screenings. 

“We could not be more excited about our upcoming summer programming,” said Eric Dilts, managing director of The Franklin Theatre. “Our team works every month to come up with a curated schedule of events to fit our community and visitors’ interests. We are thrilled to welcome such talented performers to our stage.” 

July events include: 

• July 9, 7 p.m. – Grammy and Tony Winner Duncan Sheik with Special Guest Lauren "LOLO" Pritchard

• July 11, 11 a.m. – Family fun action-packed show Puppy Pals Live

• July 14, 7 p.m. – Good clean fun! Improv-comedy troupe Oddity Improv 

• July 16, 7:30 p.m. – Franklin Theatre Songwriters Series Presents: Bradley Gaskin, Tim James, and Danny Myrick

• July 19, 3 p.m. – Gospel Sunday: Hosted by Deborah Allen with Special Guests Larry Gatlin and Billy Dean

• July 23, 7 p.m. – Grammy Award & IBMA Award Winner Trey Hensley

• July 29, 7 p.m. – Kings of Queen: A Queen Tribute Band

Downtown Franklin Rotary Club names leadership

The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club has named its president for the 2026-27 during its June meeting, the Williamson Herald reported. 

Steve Bacon had served as president for the preceding year for the group that meets twice monthly. Roger Walters, who is also part of the Leadership Franklin class of 2026-27 as a community volunteer, will now serve as president. 

Now in its ninth year, the club hosts Christmas Parade, Jockeys & Juleps Derby Party, as well as the Hog Ball. The most recent Jockeys & Juleps Party raised $100,000 for the Gary Sinise Foundation to support veterans and first responders, according to Williamson Herald.  

Med spa slated for Franklin

The Beauty Refynery, a new med spa slated for Franklin, is set to open this weekend. 

On July 11, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the business is set to celebrate its grand opening at 9050 Carothers Parkway. The Beauty Refynery will offer weight loss programming, hair restoration treatments and laser skin rejuvenation, in addition to aesthetic injections, according to a press release. The med spa is located adjacent to and is partnering with day spa A Moment’s Peace. 

Julie Benko, who earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University, founded and is set to lead the business. 

"At The Beauty Refynery, we believe that feeling confident in your own skin is something everyone deserves," said Benko. "This grand opening is our love letter to Franklin, a chance for our community to step inside, experience the difference, and discover a space designed with them in mind."
