A Thursday night fire has temporarily closed Franklin's Edley’s Bar-B-Que.
The Franklin Fire Department was dispatched to the restaurant, located off Peytonsville Road, just before 8 p.m.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the Berry Farms restaurant after employees discovered a fire in one of the smoker rooms which had spread to the wooden rafters.
"Employees reported hearing a loud pop, followed by a power outage," FPD said. "They opened the door to the smoker room and saw sparks, then evacuated the building and called 911."
No one was injured in the fire, which activated the restaurant's sprinkler system.
Franklin Fire investigator David Edge estimated the restaurant sustained "less than $20,000" in damage.
Edley’s Bar-B-Que remained closed on Friday, but said in a social media post that the restaurant will still fulfill Christmas packages on Saturday, and that they will reopen "very soon."
