The launch of the practice comes two months after LBMC announced the expansion of its consulting and business intelligence practice (read here), with both groups bolstering the firm’s litigation support and valuation practice.
Panther joins LBMC with more than 30 years of experience, having previously served as founder of Panther Financial Planning and Panther Financial Divorce Solutions.
A Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31-listed family mediator, Panther specializes in analytical solutions related to financial and taxation issues in divorce cases and settlements. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Panther holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and an executive certificate in financial planning from Belmont University.
A former LBMC employee, Womack returns to the firm after serving as senior vice president at Mercer Capital, bringing more than 25 years of experience in business valuation and family law litigation support. He works with attorneys on divorce matters related to asset valuation, forensic accounting and expert testimony.
Womack also joins as a practice leader for LBMC’s auto dealership industry and will provide valuation services to dealerships related to corporate planning and reorganization, transactions, employee stock ownership plans, litigation support and tax issues.
Womack is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation, the Forensic and Business Valuation Division, the American Society of Appraisers, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the National Association of Dealer Counsel and the National Independent Auto Dealer Association.
Womack holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.
“The expertise Cheryl Panther and Scott Womack bring to this practice allows us to support our clients with the highest level of professionalism and insight in the complicated areas related to family law,” Jim Meade, LBMC CEO and managing shareholder, said in the release.
“Their combined experience in financial planning, business valuation and litigation support enhances our ability to guide clients through complex financial disputes, ensuring their personal and financial interests are safeguarded throughout the entire process.”
