In a lot of ways, Jake Burman and Co. feels like the heart of what the local Franklin music scene is. The band formed in Williamson County in 2017, playing venues around downtown Franklin and building themselves as both musicians and active community members. The band, consisting of Jake Burman (Guitar/Vox), Todd Brakebill (Guitar/Vox), Josh Rains (Keys/Vox) and Christopher Shuff (Drums/Vox) is the epitome of what downhome rock music is. They represent the music scene in Franklin through the consistency in their work. Jake Burman and Co. are in it for the love of the game, cutting their teeth at Fox and Locke in Leiper’s Fork and performing as one of the long-standing house bands at Kimbro’s Pickin’ Parlor. Through high-energy performances and a devotion to southern twang rock ‘n’ roll, it’s no surprise Jake Burman and Co. has increasingly grown in popularity in Franklin over years of playing.
