If you’ve been anywhere near the music scene in Franklin, chances are you’ve heard of powerhouse young artist Jaid Joice. If you haven’t heard of her yet, you probably will soon. Joice’s swampy-soul vocals intertwined with her ability to be true to her heart make for great storytelling. Her songwriting is saturated in beautifully written personal anecdotes that she delivers to audiences with a voice that sounds like she’s lived through many decades, despite only being 26. The Wisconsin-born songstress has been gigging around Williamson County in places like Kimbro’s and Fox and Locke for the past couple of years. Through moving interpretations of music from artists such as Chris Stapleton and Fleetwood Mac, Joice has recently made a name for herself.
