Isaiah Mitchell

Downtown Franklin’s Main Street District has no shortage of entertainment. From grabbing a coffee and quiche at the Franklin Bakehouse to chatting it up over a few brews with friends at Black Dog Pub, it’s easy to get lost in all of the small businesses and historical infrastructure that Downtown Franklin has to offer. While bouncing from shopping to dinner, you might have noticed a violinist standing on Main Street by himself, an open instrument case with dollar bills at his feet and an audience of eager listeners stopping to listen to the pull of his well-rosined bow on strings. That busker, Isaiah Mitchell, has become a staple in the Franklin community known for his commitment to both his craft and Franklin. He’s not in it for fame or attention. Mitchell busks in Franklin because he loves to chat with the community. Next time you’re in Franklin and you see him and his violin on the corner of Main and 4th, stop and take a listen. It’s truly a remarkable experience.
