Williamson's Best 2026

Around 6 p.m. every Thursday in Leiper’s Fork, musicians from all walks of life gather at Fox and Locke, guitars in tow, antsy to get on stage and try out their songs for a crowd. For some of them, it’s their very first time playing on a live stage. For others, the stage is their everyday life. You never know who you might run into at a Fox and Locke open mic, and sometimes, you’ll see the most talented person in town who’s never had the chance to showcase their talents. It’s more than just your run-of-the-mill open mic night. It’s an equal-playing field. It’s competitive to get a spot, and you have to promptly text for the chance to play anywhere from 3-3:30 p.m. the Thursday of the open mic to even be considered. Artists play two songs.
