The week final votes for the week 7 Football Player of the Week have been tallied, and this week's winner is Page's Knight Wilson, who garnered a strong 59.1 percent of the vote.
As Page continued its dominant start to the season with a 49-6 win over Lawson last week, junior Knight Wilson stepped up in a major way.
Wilson started the game by returning the opening kickoff all the way to the one-yard line, setting up Page's first score. Then, on the very next possession, Wilson returned a 28-yard scoop-and-score off a Lawson fumble. Finally, he notched a 27-yard interception return touchdown in the second quarter.
Page (7-0, 2-0) will host Hillsboro (4-3, 1-1) on Oct. 18 after the bye week.
The other nominees for Player of the Week were: Brentwood's William Turner, BGA's Kaedyn Marable, FRA's Roman Mahlerwein, Independence's Matt Horner, and GCA's Knox Lambert.
