The TSSAA football state championships are set to take place this week at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, and four Williamson County teams have survived the long journey to the title game.

In Class 5A, Page is 13-0 after dispatching Hendersonville 62-0 in round one, Kirkwood 24-7 in round two, Beech 31-21 in the quarterfinals and familiar foe Centennial 43-21 in the semifinals. It is the fifth consecutive championship game appearance for the Patriots, who are still looking for the program's first state title.

Page will face 13-1 Sevier County, led by Mr. Football finalist Cooper Newman at quarterback, on Friday at 6 p.m. in a rematch of last year's state championship matchup. The Patriots fell 27-20 in that meeting.

In Class 6A, Ravenwood (14-0) also carries an unbeaten record into the championship game. The Raptors took down Cane Ridge 37-14 in round one, Houston 38-7 in round two, Whitehaven 20-12 in the quarterfinals and previously undefeated Southwind 28-25 in the semifinals.

Ravenwood will take on 14-0 Oakland, winners of three of the last four state titles, on Saturday at 6 p.m. Patriots' two-way star Craig Tutt is a Mr. Football finalist.

In Division II-AA, Battle Ground Academy (12-1) is set to face Franklin Road Academy (11-1) at 10 a.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are looking to avenge a 38-26 loss to CPA in last season's state title game

BGA and Mr. Football finalist QB Kaedyn Marable defeated Notre Dame 56-7 in round one, Knoxville Grace 42-14 in the quarterfinals and Boyd Buchanan 49-3 in the semifinals.

In Division II-AAA, 11-0 Brentwood Academy knocked off MBA 42-14 in the quarterfinals and CPA 38-7 in the semifinals after earning a first-round bye.

In the championship game, the Eagles will battle last year's state runner-up Baylor (also 11-0) on Thursday at 6 p.m. The Red Raiders boast two of the three DII-AAA Mr. Football finalists in quarterback Briggs Cherry and running back David Gabriel Georges. BA's Tommy Bauchiero is up for the all-levels Kicker of the Year award.
