Pleasant View Woman Indicted on Stalking, Harassment Charges Against Sen. Blackburn

A Pleasant View woman has been indicted on stalking and harassment charges related to Tennessee gubernatorial candidate and Sen. Marsha Blackburn and her daughter-in-law.

Elizabeth Christine Leopard, 23, was arrested on June 6, three days after a Williamson County Grand Jury indicted her on one count of aggravated stalking (65 years or older), one count of stalking and six counts of harassment. 

Leopard remains jailed on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 24.

Few details have been made public at this time, but according to a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation news release, the charges stem from “harassing messages sent on social media.” 

The TBI did not specifically name the victims, only calling them a “Tennessee politician and one of their relatives,” but court documents revealed that Blackburn and her daughter-in-law were the subject of the alleged messages between May 1-8.

"No one should have to endure stalking, harassment, or threats to their family’s safety because of their public service or political beliefs," a Blackburn spokesperson told the Williamson Scene. "Sen. Blackburn is grateful to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security for taking this seriously."

In August 2025, another woman, Penelope Convertino, 22, of Murfreesboro, was arrested by FBI agents after threatening to shoot and kill Blackburn on national television in a May 2025 voicemail.

On June 1, Convertino entered into a plea agreement in court, pleading guilty to one count of threat to a federal official. She is facing up to 10 years in federal prison when she’s sentenced in September.
