In-N-Out Burgers’ Franklin location opened on Wednesday with dozens of customers lined up hours in advance.

One of those customers, Nick Anderson, said he recently moved from Franklin to Orlando, Fla., and returned to Franklin to wait some 20 hours to be at the front of the line to get his favorite order — a Double-Double with Animal Style fries cooked well done with a vanilla milkshake.

“Franklin, Tennessee, is going to be an important place for us for decades to come,” In-N-Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick told reporters. “This will be the site of our eastern territory headquarters, the building right behind the store here, so we're really excited to be here.”

That large future office complex will oversee the company’s continued eastward expansion after the state’s first restaurant locations opened in Lebanon, Antioch and Murfreesboro in December 2025.

“As we grow into more states than just the Western states, it's important to have support for those stores in more areas than just on the West Coast, and so this represents a great opportunity here in Tennessee,” Warnick said. “We love the culture and the values here; they match our values as a company. It's just a good fit for us. And so if we're going to have a second Support Office, Tennessee has made a lot of sense for us.”

The move is part of a $125.5 million investment in Middle Tennessee, which includes about 277 jobs at the corporate headquarters in Franklin.

This is the 10th state for the company that boasts fresh ingredients and 100 percent American beef patties ground by the restaurant's own butchers and hand-diced potatoes in each restaurant.

The restaurant is located at 1951 Double Double Drive with operating hours from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The location features one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for 74 guests, and a covered patio with outdoor seating for 54 guests, and will see a starting pay of $17.50 per hour.
