In the heart of downtown Franklin, Culaccino Italian Restaurant has become more than just a restaurant. It’s downtown’s newest institution. That happened in a short period of time. Now known for its award-winning wine list, housemade pastas and signature wood-fired pizzas, Culaccino is looking forward to celebrating turning five in January, and it is not planning on slowing down. In fact, the beloved Italian kitchen is expanding, with a brand-new location opening later this fall in Nashville Yards (now Davidson County will have its own, and that will mean more room for us in Williamson County).
Culaccino
Helmed by Executive Chef Frank Pullara, Culaccino brings a deeply personal approach to Italian dining. Chef Pullara draws on family recipes passed down through generations, yet he’s refined those recipes for modern tastes and made them his own. From tender handmade pastas to rustic pizzas made with a 72-hour fermented dough, every item on the Culaccino menu tells a story of tradition, patience and bold flavor.
It’s no surprise that Culaccino was voted Best Wine Bar in Best of Williamson County. Thanks to its expertly curated selection of wines from Italy and beyond, it offers the perfect spot for date nights, group dinners or simply unwinding on the beautiful patio (open for both lunch and dinner).
Culaccino helped set the tone for elevated-yet-approachable dining in Franklin, and that tone has continued with sister restaurant Culamar. The team’s philosophy is that great seafood and Italian fare aren’t just for special occasions; they’re for everyday moments worth savoring.
As Culaccino expands into Nashville, its Franklin roots remain strong. Whether you’re enjoying a Neapolitan-style pizza al fresco or sipping a bold red inside the stylish dining room, each visit feels like a warm welcome home. With a proven track record of blending family tradition, culinary craftsmanship, and community spirit, Culaccino continues to raise the bar for Italian dining in Middle Tennessee.
