The cool weather is finally here and with it comes even cooler music. The Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival returns to the The Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin this weekend and with it comes a diverse lineup of performers. 

For the past 10 years, thousands have come out to enjoy music, food and fun in at the festival. It’s an all day party Saturday and Sunday with gates opening at noon and music lasting till 10 p.m. The festival is no stranger to big names with past headliners such as Chris Stapleton, The Lumineers, Zach Bryan and The Foo Fighters. This year’s lineup is no exception.

Hozier is arguably the most anticipated performer this weekend. Just like the festival, his debut self-titled LP turns 10 this year. This summer, Hozier's single “Too Sweet” from the EP Unheard became a viral hit for the artist. He’s sure to pack the park and perform an amazing set, rain or shine.

Noah Kahan has seen success recently with a switch in genre with his latest album Stick Season. The change from pop to folk led Kahan to a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. He even released a popular cover of “If We Were Vampires” by previous Pilgrimage headliner and Nashville resident Jason Isbell.

Needtobreathe, while not as well known as the other headliners, is still a great addition to the lineup. Six of their albums have reached No. 1 on the Christian albums chart. The alternative rock band is sure to be a crowd favorite.

Dave Mathews Band, the returning headliner, needs no introduction. With over 25 million concert tickets sold throughout their career the band is known worldwide for their musical prowess. This year, the band was selected to be inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame. Who knows what changes will be made to their songs during this weekend’s live show.

Although Pilgrimage is mostly known as a music festival, it is also a family event; children under the age of 7 get free admission. Family-themed performances include Bach 2 Rock youth bands, Storytime with Williamson County Library and a magic show, to name a few.

If you still need tickets there are some left. Although some tiers have sold out, single-day, two-day, and VIP tickets are still available.

Parking gates open at 11 a.m. The festival has on-site parking with passes available for purchase. Attendees can also park in Downtown Franklin, while the rideshare pick-up/drop-off location is at Ligon Field at the corner of 1st Ave. and Church Street. Due to increased traffic during the festival, only attendees who purchased parking will be allowed to travel down Franklin Road. 

The festival is said it is continuing rain or shine, but keep and eye out on the event's social media accounts for weather updates this weekend.
