The Franklin Arbor Day Celebration — presented by the Franklin Tree Commission and the City of Franklin Parks and Recreation Department — will take place April 18 from 10 a.m. to noon. Visitors are welcome to spend a day at Pinkerton Park, where they will be provided with tree education and outdoor activities. Some of the interactive activities include free tree sapling giveaways, educational exhibits on environmental stewardship and activities catered to children.
